Up at a sensible time and after sorting ourselves out we set off, stopping on the way to the MTR we bought breakfast, sausage in a bun for me, like a hot dog but a sweet bread and covered in cheese,a good start to the day. We got the MTR from Jordan to Central then walked up to the bottom station of The Peak Tram, a 10 minute ride at an angle of 25 degrees then reaching the top several escalators we reached the top.
Stunning views across Hong Kong Island and towards Kowloon.
After admiring the views we headed back down in the tram and headed back down, we then caught the bus to Aberdeen the historical fishing town of Hong Kong and still very active today.
We took some time to explorer and avoid the old lady trying to sell us a ride on her house boat before feeling peckish and another good find of the Green River restaurant, the young guy who met us was pleased to speak English but with an American accent, “where did you learn English” I asked? Thinking maybe he’d been to college in the U.S., no he’d learnt it from online gaming!
Felling refreshed and fed we caught the bus back to Central and a 20 minute walk then headed to the Man Mo temple, lots of locals praying and loads on incense, work the visit.
Heading back we stopped off for a beer, then the MTR back to Jordan.
Time for more exploring, the Temple Road street market is opposite where we are staying, lots of stalls selling everything and anything, iPhones, clothing and lots of tat!
